Job Summary

The cashier will be responsible for handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, and ensuring that customers receive accurate receipts. The cashier will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service and handling returns and exchanges.
The stocker is responsible for maintaining the organization and appearance of store shelves, displays, and stockrooms. Duties include receiving, unpacking, and organizing merchandise, replenishing inventory, and ensuring products are properly labeled and priced. Stockers also assist with keeping the store clean, safe, and well-organized to enhance the shopping experience. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues
• Handle returns and exchanges in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure that the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed
• Stockers need to organize products in an orderly manner on shelves, ensuring items are correctly placed and easy for customers to find. This includes knowing the layout of the store and product placement.
• A stocker must check expiration dates, ensure that shelves are fully stocked, and verify that the correct products are in the right places. Small details, like arranging items by size or type, can make a big difference.
• The job often involves lifting heavy boxes, bending, standing for long periods, and sometimes operating heavy equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts. Physical endurance is important.
• Stockers need to complete tasks quickly and efficiently, especially in busy retail settings. Good time management ensures that shelves are stocked promptly, reducing the risk of running out of stock or causing delays.
• Stocking often involves lifting, pushing heavy carts, and using equipment. Stockers need to follow safety protocols to prevent injuries and accidents in the workplace.
