About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced R&D Lead Chemist to join our Beauty Quest Group team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new product concepts and ideas, managing a team of chemists, and ensuring regulatory compliance and quality.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetic science, experience in hair care formulations, and excellent leadership skills to manage a team of direct reports.

- Develop and implement new product concepts and ideas
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the R&D team
- Evaluate and improve existing formulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and quality
- Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment
Responsibilities:
- Schedule daily activity and prioritize projects
- Communicate with customers and provide status updates on projects
- Monitor and interpret stability of experimental formulas
- Reformulate products to improve stability
- Document and pass on updated procedures to manufacturing
- Participate in pilot scale-up and first manufacturing
- Work with direct reports to design formulas and evaluate stability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Cosmetic Science
- 5-7 years' experience in a cosmetic laboratory; preferably in hair care
- Supervisory experience
