Vice President of Shopify and E-Commerce Operations

Position Summary:

We are in search of a seasoned Vice President of Shopify and E-Commerce Operations with a demonstrated background in significantly scaling an e-commerce business. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing an e-commerce company with annual revenues of at least $20 million and have scaled it to over two times its original size. This role is critical for someone who can leverage their expertise and knowledge to rapidly expand our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Team Development and Operational Management

• Strengthen our team by hiring or contracting professionals to form new departments, driving the development of effective and scalable operational workflows to achieve our organizational goals outlined throughout this job post.
• Assist the management and team of our parent company in implementing a Warehouse Management System (WMS) that is seamlessly integrated to proficiently handle BeautyHouse's pick/pack/ship requirements, while also catering to the bulk distribution and wholesale shipping needs of the parent company, ensuring a harmonious and efficient operation across both entities.
• Continuously refine internal systems and applications for improved efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee customer service standards and continuous improvement in service quality.

Marketing, Branding, and Customer Engagement

• Maintain brand aesthetic, ensuring the website, product packaging, and boxing are attractive and aligned with our brand identity.
• Develop and optimize SEO and digital marketing strategies for top-tier search engine rankings.
• Drive social media advertising campaigns and manage affiliate marketing programs.
• Initiate influencer marketing programs and manage participation in deal websites.
• Implement robust email and SMS marketing strategies using advanced platforms such as Klaviyo.
• Implement best practices in SEO, marketing, customer acquisition, and cross-functional team building for rapid scaling.

Logistics and Supply Chain

• Negotiate with freight carriers and develop international shipping strategies, including handling import duties.

Financial Management and Analytics

• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and cost control to optimize profitability.
• Utilize data analytics for informed decision-making and market trend analysis.

Product Management and Strategic Planning

• Ensure product data accuracy and enhance customer shopping experience and product discovery.
• Develop strategies to minimize chargebacks and handle high-risk orders.
• Direct negotiations and vendor account management for select brands. Vast majority of procurement will be taken care of by parent company.
• Lead long-term strategic planning, including setting company-wide goals and identifying new market opportunities.

Technology and Innovation

• Embrace and implement new technologies and innovations to enhance the e-commerce platform.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a VP of E-Commerce Operations role or similar in a fast-growing e-commerce environment.

- Track record of successfully scaling an e-commerce business.

- Leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams.

- Expertise in SEO, digital marketing, e-commerce logistics, and supply chain management.

- Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience.

- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, Shopify, marketing tools, and data analytics.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
