Overview
Beaver County Christian School seeks to hire a Head of Schools. We seek a candidate with the proven ability to serve as the chief executive officer for our K-12 Christian school, providing spiritual, academic, and operational leadership over all areas of the school. This position also includes day-to-day operational management of the high school campus.
The Head of Schools provides spiritual, academic, and operational leadership over all aspects and functions of BCCS, K-12. This individual is responsible for ensuring the school’s mission aligns with a Biblical worldview, rooted in the Reformed tradition of faith. The Head of Schools works in collaboration with the school board, faculty, staff, parents, and students to foster a Christ-centered educational environment that upholds academic excellence and spiritual development. Most importantly, the Head of School ensures that all BCCS employees/ programs hold and endorse the conviction that Jesus Christ is preeminent in every program/aspect of the school.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The BCCS Head of Schools:
- Serves as head administrator, overseeing all school operations, programs, and functions - grades K-12 on two campuses
- Leads faculty, staff, and students in spiritual formation - ensuring Biblical integration across and within all subjects and grades
- Fosters a culture of professional growth, excellence, and constant reformation
- Ensures compliance with accreditation standards, as well as state and local laws and regulations
- Effectively recruits, trains, and retains faculty and staff ensuring a positive, supportive and professional environment
- Supervises and evaluates the administrative team including the K-8 principal, business manager, admissions director, advancement director, and athletic director
- Serves as the primary liaison between the board of education and the K-12 faculty/staff
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the high school campus (including all faculty, staff, and students)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a spiritually mature and growing Christian who is active in his/her Christian life
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Must hold a masters or doctoral degree in leadership, educational policy, curriculum/instruction, etc.
- Must have successful teaching and/or administrative and/or higher-ed experience
- A successful candidate must sign an agreement with Articles II and III of the BCCS Constitution
- A successful candidate must make a credible profession of faith and maintain active membership in a church that’s teaching agrees with the school’s statement of faith.
- Must have an understanding and commitment to distinctively Christian education from a Reformed perspective
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
