We're seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to help us maintain our high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality.
Position Summary:
The Head Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping at the lodge. This includes cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, common areas, and coordinating with other team members to ensure a seamless guest experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to lodge standards
- Oversee laundry operations, including washing, drying, and folding linens
- Maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory
- Train and manage seasonal or part-time housekeeping staff as needed
- Work with management to create efficient room turnover schedules
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Ensure lodge cleanliness meets health and safety standards
- Occasionally assist with light decorating or setup for lodge events
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel or hospitality settings, with a focus on custodial or industrial cleaning.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping management practices, including floor care techniques.
- Friendly, professional attitude and a team player
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team members alike.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs and performing physical tasks
