General Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, particularly in fine dining, and possess exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and a commitment to maintaining high standards in kitchen management and overall restaurant performance.

Duties

• Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure.
• Oversee kitchen management, including food preparation, quality control, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate financial reporting through effective use of POS systems.
• Develop and implement budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Train, mentor, and supervise staff, including assistant managers, to foster a positive work environment and promote professional growth.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu offerings that align with customer preferences and market trends.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback, resolve issues, and enhance overall satisfaction.

Experience

• Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the fine dining sector is essential.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety standards and kitchen management practices.
• Proficiency in cash handling procedures and experience with POS systems is required.
• Excellent budgeting skills with a track record of managing operational costs effectively.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in training and developing staff at various levels.
• A passion for coffee culture is a plus, as well as experience in managing coffee service within a restaurant setting.
