As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will play a crucial role in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments to determine the severity of medical conditions and prioritize care based on urgency.
- Administer basic life support and advanced life support techniques as required.
- Utilize aseptic techniques when providing care to prevent infection.
- Assist in triaging patients at Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, ensuring timely treatment for critical cases.
- Administer injections and other medications as prescribed by medical protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive urgent care services.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments administered.
- Operate emergency medical equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health concerns.
Skills
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and capable of making quick decisions under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to emergency care.
- Experience with durable medical equipment (DME) used in emergency situations.
