What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campground Attendant position at Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch?
Position Title: Campground Attendant
Position Summary: Works to ensure an exceptional camping experience for our guests while always focusing on customer service, safety, and land conservation.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Exhibit punctuality, reliability, a great attitude and professionalism.
- Commitment to hospitality, exceptional customer service, and providing the best guest experience possible
- Various tasks associated with maintenance and cleaning of campground sites and facilities including but not limited to grounds upkeep, landscaping, wood splitting/stacking/delivery, trash removal, campground and trail maintenance and improvements, fire mitigation, cabin and campground preservation and restoration projects
- Develop a confident understanding of campground layout and rules, resort facilities, trails, and stay abreast of and promote current resort activities and events.
- Become familiar with basic operations of other Resort Departments to aid in customer requests and service.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and other departments in the resort. Must be able to communicate in English, being multilingual is a plus.
- Ability to remain professional and positive under pressure
- Must demonstrate the ability to endure summer alpine conditions while maintaining mental clarity
- Basic knowledge of wilderness safety and camping skills including but not limited to rapidly changing weather conditions, storm safety, wildlife encounters and fire risks.
- Lack of experience in a specific area is not a disqualification, but must be willing and eager to learn new skills.
Requirements
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and school breaks
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- First-aid/CPR training with-in 30 days of hire
- Commitment to hospitality and exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
- Ability to receive and follow instructions and adjust to rapidly changing situations and conditions.
- Commitment to be vigilant in safety and the preservation of Mother Nature
Dress Code: Practical attire for sustained outdoor mountain conditions that change rapidly throughout the day. All clothing should be clean and free from holes or stains. After successful completion of a trial period, employees may receive Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch apparel.
Valued Skills: Nature enthusiast with experience in outdoor recreation (hiking, biking, fishing, climbing, etc.), operation of ATVs, modern RV camping practices and equipment, or RV mechanical knowledge. Please include any relevant certifications or descriptions of applicable extra skills. Owns RV and willing to be on-call.
Physical: Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods and sustain physical activity for up to eight hours all in changing and potentially extreme alpine conditions.
Salary : $13 - $20
