Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise dietary department staff, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide individualized dietary services for residents/patients.
- Oversee ordering, inventory management, and budgeting to ensure the dietary department operates efficiently and within budget.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food safety, sanitation regulations, and compliance with state and federal laws.
- Develop and update menus, recipes, and portion sizes according to resident/patient dietary needs.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any dietary-related concerns or special requests.
- Ensure proper food storage and preparation procedures are followed to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
- Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM), or equivalent certification.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare facility, with a strong understanding of dietary and nutritional needs in this setting.
- Proven experience in supervising and managing a team.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation regulations, and dietary guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
