Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Build and own the North American talent acquisition strategy, feeding into the global talent acquisition strategy and creating new strategic initiatives to support the organisation’s most critical goals.
- Team Leadership and Development: Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing Talent Acquisition team across North America, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement. Evaluate and enhance team capabilities to deliver consistently exceptional results.
- Senior Appointments: Champion direct sourcing, with a personal focus on executive-1 and senior recruitment, ensuring high-calibre candidates are identified and engaged.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Introduce and implement cutting-edge recruitment practices, leveraging data and metrics to inform strategic decisions and enhance recruitment effectiveness. Pioneer scalable, efficient solutions that adapt to evolving market trends and organisational needs.
- Inclusive Hiring Practices: Lead efforts to build a diverse talent pipeline by embedding inclusive hiring practices throughout the recruitment process. Partner with external networks to ensure access to diverse talent pools and monitor candidate diversity metrics.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and influence executive and senior leaders, aligning talent acquisition strategies with business priorities. Collaborate with global counterparts to foster a unified, best-in-class candidate and manager experience.
- Operational Excellence: Own the North American recruitment budget, feeding into the global budget, tracking and ensuring cost-effective practices and adherence to organisational standards. Oversee the preferred suppliers list and manage key strategic talent acquisition projects to advance Beazley’s employer brand and recruitment effectiveness.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Stay abreast of the latest regulatory and legal changes across North America and implement the appropriate change management to protect our organisation.
Skills & Experience:
Proven Leadership: Extensive experience leading in-house talent acquisition teams across multiple locations, with a record of elevating team performance to best-in-class standards.- Senior-Level Recruitment Expertise: Skilled in directly recruiting for executive-1 and senior leadership positions, within insurance, professional or financial services, with a sophisticated understanding of high-impact recruiting.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills, with demonstratable success in engaging and influencing executive and executive-1 stakeholders with credibility and integrity.
- Analytical Insight: Strong data-driven approach, with experience in leveraging metrics to create recruitment strategies that impact business outcomes.
- Thought Leadership: Considerable experience in leading complex initiatives and setting new standards that create an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience through strategic use of data, process refinement, and technology.
- Change Management: Experienced in navigating complex legal and regulatory environments and implementing cross functional change management initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Skilled in building partnerships across geographies, fostering collaboration among Talent Acquisition, Business Partners, and senior leaders to drive alignment and shared success.

This may include, amongst others, Beazley’s underwriting control standards, Beazley’s claims control standards, other Beazley standards and customer relationship management.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as individually notified, either through your objectives or through the learning management system. These may include membership of any Beazley committees or working groups.

Salary for this role will be tailored to the successful individual’s location and experience. The expected compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $150,000 per year plus discretionary annual bonus.
