Job Description
The primary goal of this role is to safeguard assets by ensuring adherence to internal control procedures and regulations through thorough store inspections and supervision of assigned employees. The essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct regular walks and observations in designated areas: main doors, outside entrances, restrooms when necessary, building perimeter, fueling positions, and property perimeter.
- Serve as a conflict resolution agent for customer disputes.
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and equipment, and controlling access.
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.
- Control traffic flow by directing drivers.
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining signatures.
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Promote the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, law enforcement, or loss prevention (preferred).
- A valid Peace Officer license.
- The ability to perform prolonged walking or standing for 8-12 hours and frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing, pulling, and lifting product or material weighing 40 pounds or more.
