About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a residential program assistant. In this role, you will work closely with campers and staff to create a fun and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recreational activities such as arts and crafts, sports, social recreation, songfests, nature hikes, archery, and other games and hobbies.
- Develop and implement life skills training programs for campers.
- Provide guidance and support to campers, helping them to develop socially acceptable behaviors.
- Collaborate with the camp leadership team to plan and execute camp activities.
- Ensure the physical and emotional health and safety of campers by being safety conscious and following established protocols.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have prior experience working with youth, preferably in a camp setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Passionate about working with children and young adults with special needs.
