Early Childhood Education Opportunity
The Steamboat Child Care Center is seeking dedicated and flexible substitute teachers to join our team. As an Early Childhood Sub, you will substitute for Early Childhood Teachers and Assistant Teachers when they are on vacation, sick, or in case of unplanned absences throughout the year.
As a substitute teacher, you will support Early Childhood Teachers and Assistant Teachers with the education, supervision, and care of children at the Steamboat Child Care Center. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that children receive quality care and education during their absence from regular teachers.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers and assistant teachers
- Provide a safe, healthy, and secure environment with an emphasis on children's social-emotional, physical, and cognitive needs
- Perform daily child care duties as assigned including feeding, diapers/potty, and naps
- Help in other classrooms as needed
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements
- Maintain confidentiality
- Be prepared to engage children in outdoor activities for long periods of time, sometimes in inclement weather (preschool)
- Work cooperatively on a team with other teaching professionals
- Provide positive guidance and redirection
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
