This position supports the improvement and maintenance of safety and environmental programs through the creation and implementation of EHS training, completion of root cause investigations, inspections, and execution of special projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience with safety risk assessments, writing LOTO equipment procedures, and conducting root cause investigations, as well as a strong understanding of EPA and local environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report compliance with hazardous waste requirements
- Review new processes, products, and chemicals for environmental compliance and risk reduction
- Implement EHS training programs for employees
- Conduct root cause investigations and develop corrective actions
- Support emergency procedure implementation and ensure emergency teams are prepared for potential incidents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or related technical field
- 1-3 years of experience in EHS preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with EPA and local environmental regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and training skills
