Job Description
The Head Wrestling Coach is responsible for the development, organization, and implementation of the wrestling program. This includes providing leadership to wrestling personnel and student athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive wrestling program
- Lead and manage wrestling personnel
- Supervise and mentor student athletes
- Ensure adherence to all applicable rules and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate
- CECP completion and/or current LHSAA requirements
- CDL class B or above with P and S endorsement
- Meet all requirements of the Louisiana Department of Education school bus driver component
- Employment with Jefferson Parish Public Schools as a teacher and/or administrator
- Demonstrated expertise in basic wrestling fundamentals
- Professional knowledge of LHSAA and JPPSS rules and regulations for wrestling
