About the Job:
We are seeking a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients in their homes. As a Home Health Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Requirements:
- You must be a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in the state of NY
- You need to have reliable transportation
- Able to work a minimum of 35 hours/week and every other weekend
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Fluent in English (able to speak and understand)
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
- Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
- Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
