We are looking for a highly skilled school nurse to provide healthcare services to students in a school setting. As a school nurse, you will be responsible for promoting physical and emotional safety and wellness among students.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and teachers. They must also possess a valid New York RN License and American Heart Association BLS certification.
This is a contract position that requires the nurse to work 36 hours per week, with a schedule that follows the school district calendar. The nurse will see students on an as-needed basis in the school health office and work in collaboration with the school interdisciplinary team and student guardian(s) to promote physical and emotional safety and wellness.
School Health Services:
- Providing healthcare to students with acute or chronic health problems
- Conducting screenings and writing referrals for health services or treatment
