Critical Care Registered Nurse Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a critical care RN, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patients' needs, and developing individualized plans of care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
The ICUs at our hospitals operate on a 2:1 ratio with two Hospitalists, a Pulmonologist, and Telehealth intensivists for immediate support and manage a diverse range of diagnoses including respiratory failure, cardio/pulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive patient assessments and treatment planning
- Administering specialized treatments and medications
- Monitoring critical conditions and responding to emergencies
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care
To apply for this role, applicants should have a current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of North Carolina or from a compact state. Additional requirements include:
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days and maintained
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire and maintained thereafter
