Job Description:
The role of a Staff Pharmacist at our organization is to provide pharmaceutical care to customers, including processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs, maintaining confidential information, and maintaining controlled medication and required documentation.
This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with patients, understand their medical needs, and provide expert advice and guidance on the use of medications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practice, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process and accurately dispense prescription orders
- Counsel customers regarding health care and prescription medication needs
- Maintain confidential information and controlled medication
- Provide expert advice and guidance on the use of medications
- Develop and implement plans, practices, and processes to better achieve organizational goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree, or equivalent FPGE (NABP)
- Pharmacy license (by job entry date)
- Completion of an ACPE Accredited Immunization training program
