Mental Health Therapist Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment intervention, and psycho-education to members and their families.
Your expertise in psychopathology and clinical treatment interventions will be invaluable in helping us deliver high-quality care to our patients. You will work with specific age groups as determined by your training and certification, and be familiar with a variety of treatment modalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely and appropriate assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and treatment interventions for members.
- Select the most effective treatment modality for each member's presenting problem.
- Effectively communicate clinical information to members and clinical staff.
- Maintain high internal and external customer/patient satisfaction.
- Demonstrate expertise in various treatment methodologies.
- Document clinical encounters accurately and in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date on KP and community resources.
- Adhere to mandated guidelines for patient care and licensure requirements.
- Maintain professional licensure.
- Conduct initial interviews with members to gather and interpret psychological and social information.
- Determine the urgency of each member's needs.
- Provide a professional interpretation of each member's presentation and recommend a course of therapeutic action.
- Deliver treatment to adults, adolescents, and children.
- Offer immediate guidance and therapy to members in crisis or requiring clinical services.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and prepare reports and letters as needed.
- Communicate with social agencies, schools, relatives, friends, and other relevant parties with member permission.
- Provide clinical consultation in an integrated healthcare environment.
- Participate in Quality Management (QM) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
