This is a full-time, non-exempt position that involves performing skilled maintenance functions on roads, storm drains, and utilities. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to direct a crew to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Main Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, perform concrete work, pipe installation, and storm drain system repairs.
- Assist with directing work for the crew and act as team lead in absence of supervisor.
- Respond to emergencies and winter weather conditions, working variable shifts as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Leadership skills and ability to work independently.
- Previous supervisory experience in roadway construction and maintenance, equipment maintenance, and operation of heavy equipment.
- Class A CDL license required, with ability to obtain Idaho CDL with Tanker endorsement.
- Experience operating dump truck with sander/anti-icing unit preferred.
