  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring residents' conditions, reporting any changes or incidents, and ensuring appropriate interventions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring the delivery of quality care and services, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Communication: Maintaining open communication with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Staff Management:
  • Training: Train staff, including nursing assistants and other care providers.
  • Scheduling: Developing and managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Facility Operations:
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as those related to resident care, safety, and infection control.
  • Incident Management: Investigating and addressing incidents or complaints related to resident care.
  • Coordination: Coordinating with other departments, uch as the activities department or dietary services.
  • Other Duties:
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and activities.
  • Communication: Communicating effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving problems related to resident care and facility operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Requires a nursing degree (RN or LPN/LVN) or a related healthcare background.
  • Experience: Experience in long-term care or geriatric care is often strongly preferred.
  • Supervisory/Management Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
