Job Description
As a Piping Field Engineer at Bechtel Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing all piping field engineering activities related to our projects. You will work closely with our Home Office team to define scopes and assist in estimating site execution portions of the work.
Key responsibilities include:
- Onsite piping field engineering for all construction activities.
- Coordination directly with Customer Operations and Maintenance/Capital Project Teams.
- Pursuing and developing construction work through interface with customers.
- Participating in planning, post-scope execution evaluation, and judicious evaluation of scoping options.
- Resolving technical issues and providing technical direction to craft professionals, supervision, and procurement teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 6 years of industry experience or 10 years of equivalent industry experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience managing technical services subcontracts (preferred).
- Experience on an LNG construction site, particularly along the U.S. Gulf Coast (preferred).
- Technical knowledge of piping construction engineering and ability to interpret design drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
