Job Summary
This position reports to the PSS Area Field Engineer and is responsible for all piping field engineering activities covering PSS scopes. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Home Office PSS group to define scopes and assist in estimating the site execution portions of the work.
The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working on large-scale construction projects.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Overseeing all piping field engineering activities related to our projects.
- Working closely with the Home Office PSS group to define scopes and assist in estimating site execution portions of the work.
- Providing technical direction to craft professionals, supervision, and procurement teams.
- Coordinating directly with Customer Operations and Maintenance/Capital Project Teams.
- Participating in planning, post-scope execution evaluation, and judicious evaluation of scoping options.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- University degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 6 years of industry experience or 10 years of equivalent industry experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience managing technical services subcontracts (preferred).
- Experience on an LNG construction site, particularly along the U.S. Gulf Coast (preferred).
- Technical knowledge of piping construction engineering and ability to interpret design drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
