The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy LNG projects. The candidate will serve as the Project Planner/Scheduleron the upcoming Port Arthur LNG project. The work location is Port Arthur, TX.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads overall planning & schedule development, analysis and reporting efforts for the project.
- Responsible for understanding the complete project scope, project schedule objectives as well as supporting and maintaining a plan and schedule to accomplish the same.
- Leads planning and coordinating schedule interfaces with the owner, vendors and subcontractors.
- Leads the timely preparation and update of detailed execution schedules, resource utilization plans and progress tracking systems.
- Supports the integration of all activity sequences & logics with the total project plan.
- Supports accurate schedules, resource, quantities, progress, and performance reporting.
- Continually monitors critical and near critical path work and communicates issues for mitigation.
- Proactively assesses progress, completion forecasts and provides solutions to mitigate schedule delays or to optimize project completion.
- Evaluates project progress against historical indicators and provides comparative analysis.
- Leads the implementation of construction scheduling & progress metrics and monitoring systems.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field with nine years of project controls or cost related work experience i.e., commercial operations or prime contracts. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree 15 years of project controls or cost control experience.- A minimum of three (3) years of recent-complex site planning and scheduling experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex project controls issues.
- Superior interpersonal skills, creative solution and problem solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated capability to schedule complex engineering and construction projects
- Power technology, prior construction or engineering experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Recent advanced level working knowledge of Primavera, Excel, Access, and Word
