Office Overview :
The Knoxville Engineering Office is the engineering hub for the Nuclear, Security, & Environmental business, supporting multiple projects. Projects involve government work throughout various sectors, including DOD and DOE.
Job Summary :
This mid-level position will allow you to perform assignments that will develop professional working knowledge and abilities through the application of standard engineering design techniques, applicable codes and standards, procedures, and criteria. You may develop standard instrumentation & control systems deliverables including instrument datasheets & specifications, control system logic diagrams, support the development of piping and instrumentation drawings, and more. You will exercise limited, but increasing, judgment in performing your assigned duties using methods prescribed by your supervisor. The engineer will work with other control systems engineers, other disciplines / functions, and / or the client. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs.
This role will be based in Knoxville, TN with periodic business travel, as required.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership . #LI-AA7
