Project Overview :
Join us as we make history at the Hanford Vit Plant, known as the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant. We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. Your efforts will help protect the nearby Columbia River and the communities, salmon, and wildlife along its shorelines throughout the Northwest.
Sitting at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake and Yakima rivers near two mountain ranges, our community provides access to year-round outdoor recreation, 300 days of sun a year, more than 200 wineries within a 50-mile radius, and the amenities of large cities just a three-hour drive (or short flight) to Seattle and Portland.
Job Summary :
You will be working as part of the engineering team assisting EGS, Lead, engineers, and the Project Engineer / Project Manager in identifying and extracting technical data from a variety of sources. You will work with the schedule and reporting work progress. You will work to organize and coordinate submittals, back check drawing updates, document reviews, meetings, and workshops. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for utilizing the computer to collect, organize, and present technical data through the use of databases. You will be interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines in your day-to day work activities. The candidate should be familiar with lean, six-sigma, and development of tools to support efficient project delivery. #LI-TN1
Part-Time Telework : This position is a full-time role that offers part-time telework flexibility in the Richland, Washington project office. Upon initial hire and onboarding, the position will require full time presence in the Richland, Washington project office, then may offer part-time telework flexibility. This position works a 9 / 80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.
Please be advised that the telework designation of the position may be changed in the future at the discretion of the company or project.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”
