Project Overview:

Bechtel’s commitment to renewables and clean energy is driving the delivery of transformative projects for our customers. Our renewables team will manage the project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup, for the Sunfish II solar project. The project will generate 360 MW DC in Calhoun County, Michigan.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will work with the project team to assist in the preparation, establishment, and maintenance of schedule data. You will perform schedule development duties, monitoring, reporting, and analysis and assist with schedule recovery plans. Your work will enable Bechtel to optimize the scheduling details for critical activities to best achieve project deadlines and objectives. #LI-ML1

Major Responsibilities:

• Assists in the preparation of schedule data
• Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
• Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
• Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
• Assists with maintenance of critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
• Performs schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities
• Assists with schedule recovery plans

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficient in Primavera P6
• Experience with the development and construction of large-scale renewable energy projects.
• Construction and/or scheduling experience involving both subcontracted and direct-hire construction labor.
• Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated skill in presenting scheduling information to management/clients.
• Strong multi-tasking, as work is performed across a portfolio of projects simultaneously and has significant interaction with stakeholders, subcontractors, OEMs, and vendors as needed.
• Experience working with or directly supporting a project development organization.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.
• Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
• Expert in Project Control applications and work processes.
