Beck 'N Call is a dedicated non-medical home care agency committed to providing essential services to the geriatric population in Monroe County and surrounding areas. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our clients through compassionate support in daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene assistance, medication reminders, and transportation.
Summary
As a Direct Care Worker at Beck 'N Call, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients' daily needs and promoting their independence. This position is essential in delivering high-quality care and ensuring the well-being of our elderly clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with personal hygiene and grooming tasks.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offer medication reminders to ensure compliance with prescribed regimens.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to supervisors.
- Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients during visits.
- Document services provided and any relevant observations accurately.
Qualifications
- Experience in senior care or direct support roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of memory care practices and patient monitoring techniques.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy is beneficial.
- Ability to provide compassionate support while maintaining client dignity.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families.
- Basic cooking skills for meal preparation are essential.
- Familiarity with assisted living environments is a plus.
