Summary
As a caregiver at Beck 'N Call, you will play a vital role in supporting our elderly clients by providing essential non-medical services. This position is crucial in helping our clients live comfortably and safely at home while promoting their overall well-being. Position specific: Experienced Direct Care worker MUST HAVE hoyer lift experience or ability to learn if trained. Ability to work every other weekend 11am-3pm. Option to add additional days during the week to supplement
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor adherence to prescribed regimens.
- Assist with transportation needs for appointments or social activities.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and client progress.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience in home care or related fields, particularly with geriatric populations.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Basic CPR certification is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and patient observation practices.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and families.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
