What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Research Staff - Lab/Yield Testing position at Beck's Superior Hybrids?
This job is a seasonal, temporary position in the Research Department working in the seed lab only. This position reports to a Manager, Associate or Assistant-Level employee.
This position will begin by March 1st, 2025 and work through May 24th, 2025. Possible extension of employment would need to be outlined in a separate agreement if the opportunity presented itself.
Responsibilities
- Assist with shelling, processing and packaging of seed.
- Maintain positive attitude and strong work ethic in order to work well with in a team.
- Assist with other non-safety sensitive duties as required by the assigned supervisor.
Job Requirements
1. Education and training:
- Successful completion of Beck’s safety training program
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
2. Technical knowledge:
- Hardworking
- Possess positive attitude
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to operate computers (training provided)
3. Experience:
- None
4. Physical Demands:
- Must have transportation to and from work facility.
- Ability to work five (5) to six (6) days each week.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently
