Associate/Assistant County Attorney (Full-Time)

Becker County has an immediate opening for an Associate/Assistant County Attorney Position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed attorney in the State of Minnesota or the ability to become licensed by November 1, 2025. May 2025 law school graduates must work with the County Attorney to become a Certified Supervised Practitioner and begin no later than August 11, 2025. 

LOCATION:
Detroit Lakes, MN - County Seat.

DUTIES:
This position will focus on criminal prosecution of misdemeanor and petty misdemeanor crimes, civil commitments, and Child Protection matters. Additional duties include, but are not limited to; juvenile delinquency, zoning, and child support enforcement. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$105,435 -$144,456 annually; Depending on Qualifications.
This position is eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits, including state pension plan, vacation time, sick time, personal and holiday leave time. The County contributes monthly health benefits to aide in the rising of insurance costs with the contribution rate evaluated annually. Additionally, employees have the option to take part of this $734.15 contribution as cash in lieu of benefits.
