As an Electrical Technician for Becker SMC, you will be essential in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems to route, wire, assemble, and install electrical components such as relays, switches, breakers, PLC’s and ability to read schematics, and drawings a plus. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in handling tools, voltmeters, and schematics to perform tasks effectively. Your experience with low and high voltage systems, along with your knowledge of programmable logic controllers, will be crucial in electrical assembly requirements. Additionally, your premium skills in industrial and commercial electrical work will enhance our team's capabilities, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
The candidate must possess the following qualities:
- Assemble and wire electrical components Install associated cable Read work orders and specifications to determine established assembly methods with strong attention to detail Experience with mechanical assembly a plus Proactive with problem solving skills to recognize a problem before the problems arise Follow all workplace safety standards Understanding of electrical process (s) Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Skills/Experienced required: Proven experience as an electrical assembler; Work independently with minimal supervision; Ability to work in fast pace environment. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the ability to deal and solve problems involving several variables in standardized situations and be able to make decisions.
Fork Lift and Scissor Lift operation a plus.
Experience: At least two (2) years’ experience as an Electrical Technician or helper with two (2) years previous work in the Electrical field. Ability to read, write, and performs basic math problems. Must be dependable – on time and have the ability to pass prerequisite screening and background check. Ability to move/lift up to 75 lbs.
