What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Clerk position at Becker Global America?
Summary:
An Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining and managing inventory by tracking incoming and outgoing materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.
1. Pull parts for work orders and take them to the production department needed.
2. Verify that all inventory transaction procedures are followed and completed per company procedures.
3.Assist receiving clerk in unloading of large material capital orders.
4.Complete Daily cycle counts towards completing the entire facility inventory.
5. Work with management team on inventory storage consolidation.
6. Responsible to maintain a cycle count system and duties that is set in place for Becker SMC.
a. Running the daily count list and communicate to warehouse personal.
b. Reconcile any discrepancies.
c. Recording results.
d. Identify root causes of transaction errors causing inventory accuracy problems
7. Operate computer terminal to input and retrieve data that deals with inventory and or production control and related projects using SAP software.
8. Run periodic and year end physical inventory programs and any other related duties.
9. Assist other departments when required or assigned to by the Director of Materials and Interface with all departments and resolve problems and issues as related to Inventory Control.
10. Maintain and control obsolete items on a regular basis.
11. Act as backup for other warehouse personnel
12. Operate floor sweeper and scrubber as needed for the plant.
13. Maintain and monitor key performance indictors set by Director of Materials.
14. Other duties may be assigned
Required Education and Experience
· Must have 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
· Experience an understanding of inventory procedures and cycle counting process.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Communication skills in English (written and spoken).
· Demonstrate a strong proficiency in using various applications, including SAP.
· Experience working in a team-oriented environment and a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Travel This position does not require travel.
Work Environment This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
