Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the design process for a variety of projects, from concept development to construction administration. This role requires a strong creative vision, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Duties
Design & Development
- Lead the design process from initial concept through detailed design, ensuring that projects meet client requirements, budget constraints, and regulatory standards.
- Create innovative and sustainable architectural designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and environmental impact.
- Develop detailed drawings, 3D models, and renderings using industry-standard software such as Revit and SketchUp.
Project Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Prepare and present design proposals, including drawings, models, and presentations, to clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee the production of construction documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design and construction process, addressing any concerns and ensuring their vision is realized.
- Collaborate with engineers, landscape architects, and other consultants to integrate all aspects of a project into a cohesive design.
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to review project progress and resolve any issues.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure that all designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring that the work is carried out according to the design and specifications.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, and other construction submittals.
Innovation & Sustainability
- Stay informed about the latest architectural trends, materials, and technologies, and incorporate them into projects where appropriate.
- Promote sustainable design practices, including energy efficiency, material selection, and site orientation.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s license
- Clean Background check
- Ability to communicate clearly via phone, virtual meetings, and in person.
Qualifications (required related experience)
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Good visualization, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Capable of combining aesthetics with function and the mechanics of buildings
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.)
Education (required minimum education level):
- Bachelor of Architecture (BArch)
- Must have Revit experience
- 2 years of experience
