This job is for an Application Specialist with a focus on centrifugal pumps and other industrial equipment, and involves handling technical, operational, and project management tasks. Here’s a breakdown of what the role is about :
Key Responsibilities :
- Data & Documentation : You’ll be creating and managing data sheets (including VDDR's, cut sheets, and product data), which provide details on the equipment (motors, pumps, valves, compressors, etc.) and related specifications.
- Vendor Coordination : You will work with vendors to negotiate special pricing , review applications with sales teams, and provide quotations based on customer needs.
- Sales Support : You’ll create and enter quotes for sales representatives, ensuring customer information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Project Management : This includes building and tracking a project schedule (from initial receipt of equipment to final assembly and shipment), and managing the procurement of equipment (purchasing 80-90% of the equipment for job orders).
- Collaboration : You’ll work closely with teams like Purchasing / Expediting , Planners , Engineering , and Sales , ensuring the timely delivery of equipment and materials, and organizing meetings and schedules for clients, vendors, and internal departments.
- Technical Knowledge : You’ll provide detailed specifications for equipment, read technical documents (like P&IDs and electrical schematics), and assist with testing and project completion.
