Service Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Service Coordination: Manage and coordinate all service calls to ensure timely response and resolution.
- Service Repair Orders (SROs): Open, post, and close all SROs efficiently.
- Technician Utilization: Ensure service technicians maintain 80%–85% billable hours.
- Warranty Claims: Submit and follow up on warranty claims to ensure proper reimbursement from manufacturers.
- Shipping & Receiving: Handle all shipping and receiving tasks within the service department.
- Customer Interaction: Answer all incoming service calls promptly, minimizing the need for mechanic consultations.
- Customer Outreach: Re-engage old customers through cold calling and review past service files for potential opportunities.
- Expense Management: Assist in minimizing shop expenses through efficient resource allocation.
- Technician Logs: Maintain records of billable and non-billable hours to analyze efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Prior assembly experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow directions with basic reading skills.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer navigation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Attention to detail, effective time management, and self-motivation.
