Overview
This position is responsible for managing and analyzing financial data related to production and operations. This includes preparing cost reports, and financial statements, tracking raw materials, inventory and production costs, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. The role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting, financial forecasting, and ERP systems used in manufacturing. Collaboration with production, procurement, and management teams is key to ensure accurate financial reporting and strategic decision making.
Duties
- Perform monthly closing activities.
- Process Standard cost and Simulated Cost updates for new or revised products.
- Manage Fixed assets and tracking of capital projects.
- Upload payroll journal entries and reconcile related accounts monthly.
- Collaborate with leadership and explain operating statements. Initiate changes where needed.
- Prepare daily cash reporting to management team and investors.
- Prepare weekly cash forecast.,
- Review accounts receivable postings to ensure cash is applied correctly, follow-up on past due accounts as needed.
- Review accounts payable postings to ensure payables are accurate. Review and approve weekly A/P check runs.
- File quarterly Use tax returns.
- Create recurring journal entries and book monthly to the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliation.
Skills
- Strong financial analysis skills, excellent communications skills, able to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Prior experience with ERP system
- Effective communications skills with the ability to communicate to various levels within the organization
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
