We are a $20 million manufacturing company specializing in high-quality metal stamping, forming, and plastic injection molding. With an ISO 9001 certification, we are committed to delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality and precision for our clients. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team and oversee all quality-related activities across our manufacturing processes.

Position Overview:

The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements through the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems. This individual will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing the ISO 9001 certification, and leading the quality assurance team to deliver exceptional products on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System (QMS): Maintain and improve the company’s ISO 9001-certified QMS to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
  • Process Control: Oversee and monitor the metal stamping, forming, and plastic injection molding processes to ensure product consistency and process stability.
  • Inspection and Testing: Develop and manage inspection and testing procedures to ensure that all raw materials, in-process components, and finished products meet required specifications and standards.
  • Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions: Lead root cause investigations for product non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and monitor the effectiveness of solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to optimize product quality, reduce waste, and improve efficiency in the manufacturing process.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality materials and components are delivered on time and meet company standards.
  • Training and Development: Train production staff on quality standards, inspection procedures, and best practices. Promote a culture of quality and safety throughout the organization.
  • Audits and Inspections: Manage internal and external audits (including ISO audits), ensuring timely preparation, resolution of audit findings, and compliance with industry standards.

Reporting:

Prepare and present regular quality reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and areas of improvement, to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in metal stamping, forming, and plastic injection molding.
  • Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or similar certification preferred.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, APQP, MSA), and industry best practices.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $94,620.00 - $99,994.00 per year
