Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and motivate the shipping and receiving team to meet operational goals. Provide daily direction, feedback, and training to ensure team members follow proper procedures, work safely, and achieve department goals.
- Develop and implement safety procedures for handling high valuable and irreplaceable collectible memorabilia, ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee and inspect all incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Ensure that products are carefully packed and inspected for defects or damage before shipment. Adress any quality control issues proactively.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Regularly verify inventory levels to ensure they match physical stock and place orders for shipping supplies as necessary.
- Communicate clearly with warehouse staff, customers, vendors, and carriers to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues and track shipments.
- Coordinate outbound shipments for trade shows, card shows, and special events. Organize arrival times for sales representatives and ensure timely returns.
- Implement initiatives to reduce shipping and receiving costs while maintaining efficiency and quality. Continuously seek opportunities to process improvements.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all shipping and receiving activities. Prepare reports on shipping metrics, inventory levels, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Provide training for new hires, instilling core values and company culture while ensuring they are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge.
- 5 years of experience in shipping or receiving or logistics.
- Proficient in using multiple shipping software applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data, create reports, and optimize workflows.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple workflows, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
