Position Summary: The Custodian Worker cleans and maintains assigned areas to meet student and employee satisfaction.
Essential functions include but not limited to:
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Properly clean and maintain housekeeping equipment
- Clean assigned areas to our standard and requirements
- Follow proper procedures for storage and disposal of trash
- Secure facility by locking/unlocking and setting alarm as required
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs
- Maintain grounds surrounding the facilities by collecting trash and other items
- Occasional room setup for events
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals
- Cleans, dust mop, sweep, mop and vacuum floors.
- Cleans, empties, replenish bags, & service trash cans
- Maintains outside entrances areas, including sweeping debris
- Spot clean carpet
- Maintains removable (area and throw) rugs
- Tracks and orders cleaning & paper supplies
- Cleans windows
- Dusts light and heavy furnishing and fixture
- Cleans, sanitizes and restocks supplies for: Restrooms, Toilet & Urinals Areas, Locker Rooms with the ability to detail clean toilets, urinals & sinks as required.
- Cleans water fountains.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with little to no deficiencies.
- Effective communication skills.
- Any/all (related) duties as assigned.
- Qualifications:
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
