Job Description for FT Custodian
Reports to: Director of Maintenance and Grounds

Qualifications:
1. Preferably a practicing Catholic, active in worship and parish life
2. High School Diploma or equivalent
3. Demonstrated custodial and maintenance skills
4. Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
5. Self-motivated, enthusiastic supporter of Catholic faith and schools
Job Summary:
The evening custodian is responsible for the primary cleaning of the school facility and coordinating cleaning efforts with other custodial staff. The evening custodian works with the director of maintenance and administration and assists with providing or coordinating coverage for rental and weekend activities. He or she is also responsible for leading the summer building cleaning process. School year hours are 3:30 PM-Midnight PM Monday-Friday with occasional weekend work. Summer hours are 5:00 AM -1:30 PM Monday-Thursday with occasional weekend work. The lead custodian also engages with students to help form them in the Catholic faith and encourages students to fulfill his or her academic potential in spirit with the mission of Beckman Catholic High School.
Duties/Responsibilities
o Coordinate building cleaning efforts in collaboration with administration and maintenance staff
o Serve as point of contact with evening custodial staff
o Conduct daily cleaning of portions of the school building
o Monitor and provide input to staff on areas needing maintenance
o Clean gymnasium and indoor athletic facilities after home sporting events
o Maintain building security
o Provide custodial coverage for weekend and special events
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and most occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
