Analyst I, Proposals Role
The Analyst I, Proposals will be responsible for developing and managing contract documents while maintaining attention to detail. They will provide insight and business recommendations based on deal analysis, identifying discrepancies or potential gaps in deal elements, and focusing on continuously improving the process.
This role will also recommend solutions and share best practices in partnership with their manager and senior analysts. They will build and maintain close collaboration with other departments/stakeholders, including sales, sales management, operations, marketing, legal, and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review proposal details to ensure compliance with company policies, GPOs' terms, and pricing guidelines to support profitable sales growth
- Advises sales on handling objections, alternative contract options, and/or value propositioning to help drive deal closures
- Assist sales and support staff in understanding process bottlenecks/inconsistencies and drive improvements while seeking assistance or input from peers and leadership
- Build trusted partnerships with cross-functional peers and superiors to ensure overall streamlined process and champion contract policy/procedure revisions
- Recognized as a partner to foster collaboration with Legal, Finance, Sales, Service, Marketing, and IT on contract matters as relevant
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years' experience working in Pricing, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Contracting, and/or Quoting roles
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to facilitate deal closures
- Experience as a sales advocate/partner to provide feedback and solutions to assist closing deals
- Experience maintaining organizational and professional ethical standards, proficient in reviewing and negotiating contract redlines (ensuring all modifications are thoroughly examined for compliance, feasibility, and strategic advantage)
- Ability to critically analyze and evaluate contract deals to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
