The Field Service Engineer role is vital in maintaining diagnostic tools that directly influence patient health and well-being.
This position is part of the Service Organization in North Central New Jersey, fully remote covering a service territory around Clifton, Elizabeth, Newark, and surrounding areas.

You will join the Field Service Team reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, ensuring optimal performance of Beckman Coulter equipment, servicing Automation and Chemistry platforms.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work independently to handle troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs of Beckman Coulter equipment, providing excellent and efficient service to customers.
- Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times, utilizing business systems like OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their requirements, while helping train newer Field Service Engineers.
Essential Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent military experience (Applicants with applicable military experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
- At least 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel Monday-Friday within assigned territory.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted (tools, replacement parts, consumables etc.).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical college major such as biomed, engineering, or related.
- 2 years' experience in advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and/or service repair.
- Developing positive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders, leading to increased customer satisfaction and retention.
