The Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics ensures that suppliers deliver quality products and develops supplier capability for future needs. They handle supplier selection, material qualification, control, and development activities. They investigate nonconforming materials to understand the root cause of failure and drive corrective actions internally and externally. They also plan, coordinate, and report on material projects and supplier performance.
This position is part of the Instrument Operations department located in Chaska, MN and will be an onsite role. At Beckman Coulter, our mission is to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare, One Diagnosis at a Time. .

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Execute supplier management plans to improve supplier and product performance.
- Plan and organize routine and non-routine tasks such as supplier selections, qualifications, change notifications, audits, corrective actions, and supplier scorecards.
- Develop supplier material control plans as part of product qualification.
- Act as the primary supplier quality representative for root cause and corrective action analysis regarding supplier-caused manufacturing issues.
- Visit suppliers to resolve product performance concerns and recommend appropriate field actions to the product regulatory committee.
- Degree with experience in engineering, science or quality field (Bachelor 5 yrs; Masters 3 yrs).
- Experience in supplier qualification activities such as supplier selection, approval, material qualification, material control, and/or supplier development activities.
- Expertise in investigating nonconforming materials to understand the root cause of failure and driving corrective actions internally and externally with suppliers.
- Experience or involvement in supplier monitoring and improvement activities such as supplier performance reviews, process or quality system audits, supplier change notifications, and action plans
- Internal or External quality system auditing
- FDA regulated environment
- Knowledge of GDT and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
