Becks Quality Cabinets, Inc., located in Suamico, WI is seeking motivated individuals to add to our growing, well-equipped custom shop. No experience is necessary, however, a "go-getter" attitude and strong work ethic is a must! Our company designs, builds and installs high-quality, custom cabinetry for our commercial and residential clients.
Key Objective/Summary:
Apply paints, stains, and other coatings to cabinet surfaces to achieve the desired appearance, quality, and durability by the customer. You will work closely with the production and design team to ensure that cabinets receive the appropriate finishing treatments and that the finished products meet our quality standards and customer expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply stains, paints, varnishes, lacquers, or other finishes to cabinet surfaces using spray guns, brushes, or other appropriate tools and techniques.
- Ensure consistent color matching and maintain uniformity across all finished cabinets.
- Verify that each cabinet component is free of blemishes, runs, or other defects before moving on to the next step.
- Inspect finished cabinets to assess the quality and conformity to design specification and company standards.
- Identify and address any imperfections or discrepancies in the finish, making necessary touch-ups or corrections to achieve a flawless appearance.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement improvements in the finishing process and uphold strict quality control measures.
- Prepare cabinet surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and scuffing, and filling imperfections to create a smooth and even substrate for finish application.
- Utilizes paper and tape to tape off the insides of cabinets so that finish is applied only where it is intended to.
- Select and use appropriate sealers, primers, and undercoats as needed for specific cabinet materials and finish types.
- Any assigned tasks, as needed
Core work schedule:
- Monday - Thursday
- 4 PM to 1 AM
- Full-time
