Company Overview
Becks Quality Cabinets is a leading custom cabinet shop specializing in designing, manufacturing, and installing high-quality custom cabinets for residential and commercial clients. As a Project Manager, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for managing and overseeing the entire lifecycle of custom cabinet projects to success.
Summary/Objective
The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to provide detailed communication and technical expertise to designers, homeowners, contractors, and internal parties for custom cabinetry projects. The Project Manager uses their cabinetry/industry expertise, preparation of project scope, tracking of project progress, and effective communication from start to finish to ensure successful completion.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyzes blueprints, specifications, and project documents in detail to determine project deliverables and provides proper communication so internal customers also understand the scope of the project.
- Aids Estimating department on custom pieces and how to bid them properly.
- Receives and processes requests via telephone, email, or in-person for project issues or questions.
- Completes accurate project layout so other trades know where our cabinets will be installed onsite.
- Travels to jobsites to inspect the project progress according to schedule, documents and communicates any changes from original plans that alter cabinet layout, and takes final measurements of the project site before cabinets go into production.
- Meets with clients to understand their needs and provide real, practical solutions; communicates and educates customers on products, technical specifications, design trends, and space planning.
- Communicates effectively with designers, cabinet engineers, purchasing, and production throughout the progress of the project as acts as a liaison between internal and external customers.
- Maintains accurate and detailed documentation of customer activity and changes to projects and answers any questions/handles issues internally or externally.
- Completes administrative tasks such as putting job binders together, creating extras lists, and saving project documents electronically.
- Provides recommendations on products, materials, and colors for the entire project including but not limited to cabinets, countertops, hardware, flooring, etc. throughout the entirety of the project.
- Makes suggestions about cabinet layout and design to satisfy factors such as appearance, safety, functionality, budget, and production cost.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure project quality and communication.
- Maintain client and vendor relationships.
- Manages the project for end success and to make sure that the project remains profitable.
- Completes jobsite punch list walk-throughs and evaluates project quality through manufacturing and installation.
- Participate in marketing events such as tradeshows and builder meetings.
Education and Experience
- Previous project management experience is required.
- 5 years in the construction/cabinetry industry is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications and basic knowledge of cabinetry, construction, and installation is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
