Manufacturing Manager

What You’ll Be Doing
- Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products
- Build, Modify and maintain Safety programs for use in the facility.
- Studies and reviews engineering documents and designs prior to fabrication and materials procurement
- Manages lead times and project timelines.
- Reviews documentation and schematics to project accurate lead times; uses feedback, as well as field information to assess definitive times as to the length of a project.
- Sets timely goals for each stage of production.
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
- Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
- Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, and disciplinary issues
- Provide technical expertise to the team
- Plans manufacturing operations, establishing priorities and sequences for producing products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
- Reviews manufacturing and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Resolves employee issues.
- Motivate and lead a high-performance production team; attract, recruit, and retain required members of the team not currently in place; provide mentoring to junior members or the team.
- Train and mentors team members on Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques
- Ensures plant cleanliness and organization with a focus on continually improving shop floor organization
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position
- Technical ability with attention to detail
- Excellent communications
- Must have the ability to travel (approximately 10% of the time)

Work Environment
This position operates in an office environment with equal time in the plant. The employee is regularly exposed to a variety of conditions within the plant. The noise level is usually moderate. Will be exposed to manufacturing conditions including heat in the summer months and cold in the winter months.
