Job Description Summary
Responsible for setup and maintenance of all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on equipment used in the production process. Works directly with the Engineering Group to monitor and improve processes for output and waste levels.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to set up and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on production equipment. Responsible for the maintenance of all electrical systems used on production equipment.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance on designated production equipment as specified in the PM Program or as required to ensure a smooth operation.
- Assists Engineering with the installation, debugging, and start-up of all production equipment.
- Maintains equipment logs on assigned equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems. Documents all process changes.
- Supports Engineering in maintaining and adjusting vision systems within defined parameters.
- Provide leadership to ensure all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR) are maintained.
- Provides Production Supervisors with relevant information on equipment and process performance, to include production and waste information.
- Provide leadership to other associates in fixing production equipment.
- Coordinates and supports other maintenance activities as required.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D required. Associate in Mechatronics preferred.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and electronic, electrical, or similar function
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with automation controls software.
- Experience in medical device industry preferred.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic principles.
- Ability to understand and interpret schematic drawings and technical specifications.
- Must be able to log onto PLCs and read and diagnose ladder logic for troubleshooting purposes. (Allen Bradley PLCs preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching overhead, climbing ladders, crouching, crawling, grasping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, talking, hearing, seeing, sitting, gripping, lifting, fingering, feeling, writing, repetitive motions, and occasionally operating foot pedals.
