Overview:
The Senior Director of SIOP is both a strategic architect and hands-on leader, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process across the organization. This individual will drive alignment between sales forecasts, inventory management, and operational planning to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. The Senior Director will lead cross-functional collaboration and implement best-in-class practices that support business objectives, scalability, and long-term growth. This is a high-impact, hands-on role that requires the ability to create, execute, and continuously improve the SIOP framework.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Includes the following, other duties may be assigned)
Primary Responsiblities:
- Develop and Lead SIOP Strategy – Design, implement, and continuously improve a scalable, data-driven SIOP framework that aligns demand, supply, and financial objectives. Establish best practices for demand planning, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance.
- Hands-On Process Development & Execution: Lead the hands-on execution of SIOP initiatives, working directly with cross-functional teams to build, refine, and sustain an effective planning process.
- Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration: Act as the bridge between key departments—including sales, merchandising/marketing, finance, operations, and supply chain—to ensure a unified and proactive approach to forecasting, production, and inventory planning. Champion teamwork and alignment to drive business success.
- Drive Data-Driven Decision Making & Analytics: Leverage advanced analytics, predictive modeling, market insights, and scenario planning to enhance demand accuracy, optimize inventory levels, and mitigate supply chain risks. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Optimize Inventory & Production Planning: Ensure the right products are available at the right time, while minimizing excess inventory and reducing costs. Develop agile and responsive strategies that balance supply with customer demand to drive operational efficiency.
- Supply Chain Performance & Risk Mitigation: Identify and implement strategies to streamline procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution processes. Develop risk mitigation plans to proactively address potential supply chain disruptions.
- Champion Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Lead process enhancements, introduce cutting-edge technologies, and adopt industry best practices to improve efficiency, scalability, and overall supply chain effectiveness. Champion a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
- Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Present insights, recommendations, and strategic plans to executive leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on business objectives and supply chain initiatives. Influence decision-making at the highest levels to drive sustainable growth and success.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in supply chain, SIOP, demand planning, or operations, with 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end SIOP processes from the ground up.
- Expertise in demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning, with strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams across sales, finance, supply chain, and operations to drive alignment and execution.
- Proficiency in data analytics, reporting, SIOP-related software, and data analytics tools for forecasting and scenario planning.
- Strong change management and process improvement experience, with the ability to drive organizational transformation and adoption of new planning methodologies.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS) in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Experience in consumer goods, retail, or manufacturing industries.
- Certification in APICS CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of AI-driven forecasting and digital supply chain solutions.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to enhance reporting and decision-making is a plus.

When in a manufacturing location much of the day may be spent standing and walking. There is also an occasional need to position self to maintain equipment, including under tables and desks as well as the ability to move about the office and common office areas.

When in corporate, Associates in this role spend much of the day in a climate-controlled office environment with a low to moderate noise level.
When in a Manufacturing location in the production / warehouse areas, the Associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate however there may be areas designated as Hearing Protection required and provided earplugs are mandatory in those areas.
There may be areas of the plant and warehouse areas where exposure to heat and/or cold can occur. The Associate may be exposed to dust and floating particles used in the manufacturing, storage and inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
